Q: Using Eric Byrnes as an example. His injury ratings are 1 1 1 1 5. If he is assigned to someone it's going to be awfully difficult to squeeze 517 PA's out of that last card with the 5 injury.

Would I be discouraged from batting him leadoff in an effort to maximize his time on the injured list?

Regarding your question, the goal is to make all efforts to reach the minimum usage levels. So, in your example, if Eric was on his "5" injury year, you would need to play him in every game where he wasn't injured.

Spider---the spirit of the league is that you would need to play the players assigned to your team until they reach their average use measure. So, if you have a player who is on his "5" injury year, he should be in the lineup all games where he's available.
