I vote 80 million. Makes it more of a strategy when drafting and determining who to retain yr-to-yr.

regardless of outcome, the first two picks can be taken again, if they chose based on thinking there either was /wasn't a cap. keep the votes coming.

$80 million cap. But regardless of the outcome of the vote, Reggie is my #1 pick.

OK, crazy twist....do we get rights to off-spring? So if I draft Bobby Bonds in the 70s will the rights to Barry revert to me in the 90s? Same for jr.!

Big D - Is Foster your pick regardless of the cap?

The more time that goes bye, the more I'm second guessing my pick. But not for salary reasons. I'll stick with Foster.

The vote on salary cap is close with the edge leaning toward 80 mil. The reason that I favor no cap is that the 80 mil cap makes the league more similar to most leagues (80 mil being the standard) with the emphasis on undervalued players and smaller pitching staffs; while no salary cap opens the league up to more unusual strategies. In any case, I think it will be difficult to go much above 80 mil in 72, 78, 80 and 88 because the player pools in those years will be significantly smaller.
