Ok, now that people have started drafting, I do want to clarify what all the eligible teams are since it’s kind of messy for the 60s. Here are the teams that can be drafted, with clarifications:
Orioles
Red Sox
Cubs
White Sox
Reds
Indians
Tigers
Astros (Colt 45’s 62-64)
Athletics (Kansas City up to 67, Oakland 68 on)
Royals (69 on)
Dodgers (Brooklyn up to 57, Los Angeles 58 on)
Angels (Los Angeles 61 -64, California 65 on)
Braves (Milwaukee up to 65, Atlanta 66 on)
Expos (69 on)
Mets
Yankees
Phillies
Pirates
Padres (69 on)
Giants (NY up to 57, SF 58 on)
Pilots (69, Milwaukee Brewers 70 on)
Cardinals
Senators (61-71, Texas Rangers 72 on)
Twins (Washington Senators up to 60)
It’s important to keep these nuances in mind when evaluating teams and choosing players. The Washington players are particularly confusing. If they have a Washington card from 1960 or earlier, it belongs to the Twins. A Washington card from 1961 or later belongs to the Senators.
