I seriously considered taking the Mets. Clearly the best group of starters in the league. But how did that team finish 10 games over .500? Was the NL East that bad? How did the Mets ever score any runs? I can tell by their stats it wasn't starting 3rd baseman Roy Staiger, and it wasn't midseason acquisition Pepe Mangual. Milner had his best rbi year (78); but I guess we have to look to Kong who led the team in RBI and almost led the team in steals with 7 (Harrelson had 9). Good luck Paul!
Franky, thanks for the clarification on RP pitchers. I'll change the front page to reflect this. Three pure relievers shouldn't be as hard to come up with.
And stop maligning the Mets. GMac will be pretty angry.
