So if you get mostly bad cards, your hosed for the entire season. This will just come down to blind luck. Most rosters don't have a lot of pitchers so trading will probably be hard. If that's the rule then fine, I just want to make sure.
Trading will be the only option to change your pitchers. As an example my Braves roster on page 1 only had 10 pitchers, only three had an S or S/R rating. All the rest were R only. I had to draft 2 pitchers who could start to meet the 5 who could start requirement, all the rest are R only still. So yes. I am stuck with those 5 starters for the season unless I can make a trade.
I have 5 draft picks to get up to 28 players, 2 had to be pitchers who are able to start. 1 will have to draft a catcher so I can carry 2 catchers on the active roster, my 2 shortstops suck-- both .75 mil, fielding rating of 3 and a lot of errors--so I picked a SS, that leaves me one pick and I have no real backup 2B. So my last pick should be a backup 2B, but it might be a pitcher who can start, so I have one in reserve on the inactive roster.
I know the Dodgers issue is that you had over 28 players so you got no draft picks. Trades are your only option, but you have plenty of SP to play with or offer as trade bait. I'm sure teams will be ringing you up for trades?
