injured player lineup adjustments
Posted: Mon Oct 01, 2012 1:39 amI've managed about 8 teams in the 70's, and I'm still puzzled as to how hal adjusts the lineup due to an injury. For instance, my "vs LHP" lineup had Joe Ferguson batting 3rd, and after he was injured in the first game of the series, the lineup for the next two games, which also had a LH starter, had my Duffy Dyer backup catcher batting 5th!
To me, the safest and simplest way to handle these situations would be to bat the injury-sub player 9th (for DH league); however, if there is some advanced logic going on, I'm not too impressed with it if it thinks Duffy Dyer should be batting in the 5 hole.
