One full team and one half team draft. Two round draft conducted in this thread. In round 1 you select a full team and in round 2 you pick a half team which is the hitting or pitching from an unpicked team. When 12 people sign up I will ask someone outside the league to run a randomizer for us to determine draft order. Draft will be serpentine meaning whoever gets the first pick will also get the last pick in the 2nd round. You can only use a park of your full team or your half team. League will be 80M DH. Rosters are unlimited. You can have as many or as few players on your roster as the game rules will allow. There are 20 teams so after round 1 there will be 8 teams left to pick a half team from. 4 half teams will be unpicked and unused.
Players are assigned to a team based on the 5 carded years used in the 60s game. They are eligible to any team that they have a card for in the 60s game. When looking at the teams, if a player isn’t listed 5 times that means you may have to compete for this player in the AD with one or more other teams. If all 5 cards are listed for a team then that team and that team alone owns the player’s rights and you do not have to compete for him in the AD.
You cannot sort by team in the 60s game so you will have lots of research to determine what players go with what franchises. NEVER FEAR……I have done all of this work for you. When you sign up simply post your email address or send it to me via PM and I will email you a spreadsheet of all the rosters by team. You can use the spreadsheet to help you make your decisions of what teams to pick. Players can only play for the teams they are assigned to. You can only use players from your team’s rosters based on the spreadsheet. If they are not on the spreadsheet for your 1½ teams then you cannot use that player. You must use one of the stadiums associated with either your full team or your half team. The stadiums are listed at the top of the list of players for each team on the spreadsheet. A few teams have two stadiums while most only have one choice.
Trading is allowed. You can make trades that include your rights to players or the players themselves. For instance the Braves can trade Joe Torre to Boston for Reggie Smith plus Boston’s rights to Billy Gardner assuming that Gardner is not currently on Boston’s roster. Boston only has 1 of Gardner’s cards so it is possible that the owner of Gardner’s other team(s) could pick him up before the Braves’ owner does so no guarantees there. In this example Boston’s rights to Gardner could even be traded even if he was on another team’s roster just in case he was dropped. I doubt that would happen but it is OK.
I anticipate lots of trading as some teams will be heavy with pitching and some heavy with hitting depending on what half team is picked in the 2nd round.
After the AD if you end up with players NOT eligible to your 1½ teams they must be dropped ASAP. You may not trade them. They must be dropped before or during waivers or as soon as you can.
PLEASE NAME YOUR TEAM SO THAT WE KNOW WHO YOUR MAIN TEAM IS.
