Question re: Dropping players in a mystery card league

In a 'Mystery Card' league, if you drop the player and he goes back into the pool, does he 'reset? In other words, if he is picked up after being dropped during the season, will he remain the same 'season' (card) or is there a chance of him coming back as a different 'season' card?

It's the same card all season.

Thanks! I assumed as much, but hadn't actually seen that subject addressed anywhere. Is there a rules section on the 'mystery card' game that covers such subtle issues?
