I'm not sure, i cant seem to find it, but I thought I read on this forum that if you trade a injured player, the player will be healthy for his new team. Can anyone confirm this.
Thanks

I can confirm that this is not true. The injured players will remain injured.

When an injured player is dropped he will continue to show the red I for injury even when his injury time has run out. If he is picked up by a new (or old) team the red I will dissapear after that night's games have run assuming he has served his injury time. He can play that night as well.

I agree that if a player is dropped, he will remain injured. But I could have sworn I had read that a traded injured player will appear healthy on the new teams roster. I could be totally wrong.

I can confirm that wrc520 is correct. An injured player will appear healthy on the roster of the new team or the old team who re-acquires him via waivers, but, not on the current injury report. He is, in fact, still injured despite not having a red "I" on the roster sheet.

I placed Lou Pinella on waivers after he was injured for the remainder of the 21-game free trial season. I re-acquired him for the final three games of the season and his red "I" only showed on the current injury report. It did not appear on any other web page. I inserted him into the lineup for the final three games and he was replaced by a healthy player.

Injuries don't go away with trades or drops. However, pitcher fatigue does. If I have a pitcher start game 3 and I drop him, another manager can pick him up and start him in game 4. Perhaps this is what you were thinking of?
