1990's Edgar Martinez injury question

I just noticed Edgar Martinez has a "2" injury on his 1996 card (from 1990's mystery card set) yet he had 499 at-bats and 123 BB's. What gives?

His injury limit should still be three games per injury. However, his injury frequency is still twice the chance of a 1-rated injury player--thus the "2" rating.
The injury rating number is the number of chances per 216 that a chance for injury is rolled. It is very rare for a someone with a "2" rating to have 600+ PAs.
