Limit the number of leagues?

IMHO, it would be helpful if Strat limited the number of leagues in each type of game to one or two. Right now, for instance, there are 13 people who have joined '60s leagues. But it may be a long time before any of us actually play because we are spread out over five leagues.
Anyone agree? Disagree?

There are trade offs for any situation. I think it is a good thing that there are so many options, but it does make it frustrating when it is hard to fill leagues.
I tend to prefer 80 million dollar caps with DH and live draft if possible but I will do auto drafting. I know others have differing preferences which does make it hard to fill leagues.
I hope your league fills soon. We only need 3 or 4 more for a live draft (Sat. June 14th at 7:30) for a 1990s DH/80 m Mystery League, come join us if you like the 1990s. Personally I prefer mystery leagues in this order, 1980, 1970, 1990 and 1960, but as I said before we all have our preferences. I would be open to a 1960s league if it were 80 million and DH, but I know many who play the 1960s like no DH. Good luck filling your leagues, patience is rewarded in this game.

I understand the frustration, and I share it. However, in situations like you describe, where there are multiple leagues of the same type with just a few members in each league, I think it is incumbent upon someone from of the leagues to take the initiative to try to advocate consolidating the leagues in order to expedite things. I see a lot of generic "Come join my league" postings on the message boards, but I think actually making more specific posts, or even directly sending messages to the managers, might work better.
Otherwise, it may just be best to do as Shakespeare wrote, and "possess thy souls in patience" (I think that is what he said...)

Artificially limiting the number of leagues forming is not the answer. For example, the 60s Keeper League was recently formed by signing up on the board. The commissioner has 12 managers, and it's just a matter of getting everyone loaded in the proper order. Surely, you would not suggest we can't proceed because there are already too many 60s leagues formed but unfilled?
