60s, 70s, & 80s Combined!
Posted: Sat Sep 06, 2014 2:55 pmIs anyone up for an ATG8 theme league where the player pool is limited to the modern era, say the 1960-1989. No cards could be selected prior to 1960 or later than 1989. This would exclude players who played in the whites only era, Negro League era, and modern day steroids era. I would definitely want a DH but I would be open to a salary cap of anywhere between 80- 100 million bucks.
I would also be open to making it 1947- 1989 or even 1947-1994 but I would not want any players prior to 1947 or any Negro League players and no players after 1989 or 1994 at the very latest...
In the past there does not seem to be much support for a league such as this. I know a lot of the veteran GMs like theme leagues and reducing the player pool size. I just do not really go for the theme leagues that limit guys based on their fielding ability or balance rating (it seems so random)....
I have never been able to rally people to any of my theme ideas in the past. But it is at least worth a try I suppose...
