Who would you play in CF?

3(0)e8 Defense 405 obp 511 slg

or

2(+1)e3 Defense 377 obp 350 slg

-------------------------------------------

Who would you play at 2B

4e17 Defense 445 obp 519 slg

or

1e9 Defense 273 obp 360 slg

It has been a looooooong time since I put less than a 2 at CF or 2B but I have a team with 7 players with an 888 OPS or above that I would normally play at 1b, 3b, rf, lf and dh and there are absolutely no other options for defensive players at CF and 2B other than the ones above.

Without knowing the rest of your lineup to know if you can rely on others for offense......

I would go with the 2 in CF and the 4 at 2B. I usually would never play at 4 at 2B but that bat needs to be in the lineup.

Let us know who are the names to these players sometime.

90s game. Keeper league actually. Talking about the lineup vs. R.

My original question may have been misleading. The 4 at 2B is going in the lineup no matter what, he just might not be playing 2B. My original question was about whether to play Barberie or Sandberg at 2B and Butler or Kingery at CF.

The real questions are-

do I play Sandberg 97 at 2b or bonilla 95 at 3B. Barberie is playing 2B or 3B based on that answer

do I play Butler unknown year (but fearful that it is 93) and Kingery 94 at 1B or do I play Kingery in CF and E Williams 94 at 1B and/or Bonilla 95 at 1B

Ive got Strawberry 98, O'Neil 93 or 96 (currently over 1000 OPS), canseco 90 or 94 (looks like 94), barberie 91? (hitting over 1.000 OPS), Kingery (over 1.000 OPS), Bonilla 95, Eddie Williams 94. Got really lucky with Williams, Barberie and Kingery obviously.

Also have Dunston at SS, Sandberg 97 at 2B and trying to settle on a C.

It is a keeper league so I dont want to dump Sandberg-particualrly since there is nothing to spend the money on. That is actually pretty important to this. There are absolutely no other 2B or SS or C options. My lineup looks like it is going to have 3 auto-outs in the lineup, despite how good the other 6 slots are (unless I play Barberie over Sandberg which is tough to swallow).

I am currently leaning towards Sandberg at 2B, Barberie at 3B, Kingery in CF and Bonilla and Butler on the bench. But, Butler isnt "bad" and I keep thinking I should fit him in by putting him at CF, but that would put O'Neil or Kingery at 1B with Williams on the bench, which would be a waste of O'Neil or Kingery's D

If I went purely offense, I could put Barberie at 2B and Bonilla at 3B (or 1B). Purely defense would put Butler in CF, Williams on the bench and waste Kingery or ONeil's OF D by putting the mat 1B.

Haven't had a puzzler like this in a while. Keeper leagues are fun. Later in the year, I might be able to trade Sandberg to a team that is not in the playoff hunt or maybe trade a spare offensive player for a mediocre 2b, ss or C, but for now....

As a "rule" I dont put less than a 2 D at 2b, ss or CF but this is tempting.

And, completely off topic, but the question of whether I should play Barberie, EWilliams and Kingery (whoever these people I never heard of are) instead of Butler, Canseco or Strawberry is a problem wit the 90s game. Yes, this happens in all the mystery games (and was much more common before they "fixed" HAL and might be my fault more than anyones) but the 90s game, I think, has too many players with one completely zany year.
