70's Jim Rice

I'm playing in a 70's league (auto league - 12 teams) and I own Jim Rice. My home park is Fenway. So far Rice is killing the ball. After 132 games this is what he's doing...http://onlinegames.strat-o-matic.com/pl ... /70/424797.

The way he's going he might get to 80 HRs and 200 RBI. Has Rice ever reached those figures for anyone?

I'm in divisional play now with my last 30 games. And it seems favorable to Rice with two Fulton County's and a Three Rivers. And there's my home park of Fenway. Seems like he might reach 80/200.

How do i keep this from happening again? Rice was removed from the game in the bottom of the ninth (Yes, the 64 HR man himself!) when Staub pinch-hit for Burleson and stayed in to play RF. Gaston was transferred over to LF (where Rice was playing). How do I keep HAL from inserting Staub into the line up and moving Gaston into Rice's spot in these instances (extra innings)? I WANT Staub to pinch-hit for Burleson in that situation (top of ninth inning) but NOT to stay in the game and move Rice out. Gees!

That stuff happens all the time and I haven't been able to stop it. Pinch-hit, then go back to the bench and eat sunflowers seeds is a command HAL doesn't understand.

Well, I guess I could request Burleson not be pinch-hit for.

71 HRs and 194 RBI for Rice. I hope he hits like that in the playoffs. :D
