Injury Days="Rest Days" prior to and between playoffs?

Do the 2 rest days prior to and any rest days in-between playoff games count against injuries? Example, if Chet Lemon is injured on game 162 of my '80s mystery season for "3 additional games" and my team makes the playoffs, can he come back after missing only Game 1 (2 rest days plus 1 game day= 3 days) OR does he have to miss 3 actual game days so that he can then come back only after Game 3 of the playoff? Thanks for any help out there!

The rest days count against the injury time. Chet the Jet would be ready to go in game #2.
