Your Comeback Kids!

What are some of your greatest regular season comebacks, for instance you started 3-15 and ended up winning a wild card. If you have a link that would be awesome, I am looking for great feats as well as inspiration.

I'm not sure this was my best comeback ever, but it may have been to the most satisfying. It was in a $60 million 60s league. After 80 games, my team was 37-43. They finished 86-76, and then they proceeded to dominate in the playoffs, losing just a single game.

The manager I beat in the finals lamented that another 86-win team won a championship (he won 93 and had a +173 run differential); I pointed out that my team did win 60 percent of their games since game 80.

I got 3 of them for you, all in the 80s. I am a notoriously slow starter, so this tends to be rather commonplace.

Started 30-30, finished 71-31 for a 101-61 record.

Started 61-59, finished 30-12 for a 91-71 record.

Least impressive final record, but it was in last years mystery tournament.
Started a whopping 55-62 only to go on a 32-13 run to finish 87-75.

All 3 examples ended up in winning a championship.

After a slow 12-14 start, my 60s Dalek Exterminators won their next six games, took over first place, and stayed there all season until...

In the series of games 142-144, the Exterminators scored one run; it was the start of a nasty slide. One run was actually good enough to win game 142. However, from games 143 to 156, we won only twice. Meanwhile the second-place Prismatics went on an 11-3 tear. When the dust had cleared, my 3-game lead was now a 6-game deficit. With the Prismatics holding the tiebreaker, taking first place was now impossible. Within the league, I posted this in frustration:
This has to be the worst collapse I've ever had. Ugh! Is the season over yet?

Nevertheless, there was still a chance to make the playoffs; I was in a 3-way tie for the wild card. In my favor, I had no more games against the Primsatics who had beaten me in every series since very early in the season. Also, my last six games were at home. Never mind at that point I had a home losing record of 37-38.

This is a thread about comebacks, and this was a good one. We won our last six regular season games, easily capturing the wild card berth. My team went on to win both playoff series four games to one. Fortunately, the Prismatics were eliminated in the semi-finals by somebody else, so we didn't have to play them. Otherwise, I suspect, this story would have had a different ending!

I was pretty much below .500 most of the season but went on a 7 game winning streak to finish the season. The last series was against a playoff team so that probably played a role in my sucess but this was the most satisfying finish I've had in quite a while.

In the first part of the season I had Lankford batting second (Garciaparra 3rd). I think all of his strikeouts may have played a role in my early season failures. My team started playing much better when I moved Lankford to clean-up (behind Garciaparra).

Just for fun I'll throw in an almost came back team. The Peoria Prickly Pears started 24-51.
Then proceeded to go 58-29 (.667) the last 87 games to finish at 82-80 outside the playoffs.
