Regular season Zero, playoff Hero

My regular season starting shortstop was injured in game 1 of the playoff semi-finals. Enter Ivan Dejesus who during the regular season had the following stats:

Tm G AB R H 2B 3B HR RBI BB SO SB CS BA OBP SLG OPS
TOTAL 32 57 7 10 0 0 0 4 4 15 1 0 .175 .230 .175 .405

Dejesus proceeds to have a monster playoff over 9 games, and hits not 1 homer, but 2 (a lot like Mickey Hatcher in the 1988WS), plus 2 triples:

G AB R H 2B 3B HR RBI BB SO SB CS BA OBP SLG OPS
9 29 7 9 0 2 2 6 2 8 1 1 .310 .344 .655

Any other unlikely playoff heroes?

My team just finished a 60s season in which my 2nd baseman, Bobby Richardson, finished the regular season with 5 HR in 620 AB. In the 7-game 1st playoff series, he hits 4 HR to carry my team into the WS (where we lose).

In real life, he was also a post season hero winning the 1960 WS MVP including 6 RBI in one inning. Plus excellent performances in the 61 and 64 World Series.

I picked up Ken Reitz Very late one season.

Reitz, Ken '83 5 17 1 0 0 6 4 9 0 0 1 .205 .250 .217

Reitz, Ken '39 4 13 0 0 2 11 2 7 0 0 0 .333 .366 .487

His post season numbers were much better than his regular season. The 11 RBI more than doubled the next guy on my team. He did the most damage in the championship. Carried the team.

Franchise league team. Del Crandall went 5 for 28 with 1 2B, 0 runs scored and 1 RBI the entire regular season. Had to step in because of injury during the playoffs and responded by going 9 for 22 with 3 homers and 7 RBI.
