Billy Williams and the Lexus

Some mystery card managers go through players quickly, trying to find someone on their best year. Of course, they risk mistakes by dropping someone with a good card. Myself, I'm more cautious.
However, when someone dropped Billy Williams after only 15 games, I wanted to pick him up. I think he's a good value, and even his bad cards aren't all that bad. But I decided to sleep on it. Bad move. Williams was gone the next day. (As it turned out, Williams had his third best card.)
Fast forward one month, and I'm helping a friend buy a new Lexus. She is wanting a specific color with very specific options, and our search isn't going well. We're working with a third dealer just about to give up when our salesman finds a car that's the right color and has all the features my friend wants. The catch is that the car is in another state and would have to be delivered in a week or two.
My friend starts to get cold feet and says she wants to think about it. The odds of finding another car meeting her specific wants is not good, so I told her the story of Billy Williams and how he got away. My friend signed the contract; two weeks later, her new Lexus arrived!
She named her car Cleary McWilliams.
