70’s Two Team League
85M salary cap / DH League / waivers
Two round draft so each owner will end up with two teams. When 12 people are signed up a randomizer will be run in the ATG forum by someone NOT in the league to get a draft order. Serpentine draft so whoever picks first will get the last pick as well. NO TRADING but feel free to drop/add for any eligible players for your two teams.
Each player in the 70s game has 5 possible cards, each assigned to a team he played for that year. You can use any player that has at least one possible card used in the 70s game for your team. For instance Dick Allen has cards for St. Louis, Los Angeles, Chicago White Sox and Philadelphia. Whoever owns any of these teams may attempt to draft him. On the other hand all 5 of Johnny Bench’s possible cards are all for Cincinnati so only the Reds may use him. Reggie Jackson only has cards for Oakland and New York Yankees. If you end up drafting both the Yankees and A’s then he could only play for your team which would eliminate competition for Jackson. A good strategy would be to put key players that you have competition for at the top of your AD list while putting a player only you can use towards the bottom of your AD list or maybe not even drafting them at all knowing that you can pick them up before the season begins.
I have an Excel spreadsheet that shows what team each player card has. When you sort by team and there are not 5 lines (cards) for a player that means that you will likely have to compete as one or more of the lines (cards) are listed with a different team. PM me or post your email address and I will email you the spreadsheet.
Notice that we are using an 85M salary cap so that we may be able to use a few more of our star players. You must use the stadium of one of your teams. Please make it obvious what two teams you have in your team name.
Kansas City A's go with Oakland
Seattle Pilots go with Milwaukee
Washington Senators go with Texas
