What would you do?

There's a manager who is playing someone out of position, and it makes no sense. This player offers little offense and has terrible defense at a key position. Despite this, the manager's team is doing very well--first place in his division. The manager isn't new to the game. I've thought about asking him why he's playing the guy. Would you say anything?

I wouldn't see the harm of asking or telling him in a private league message that you're curious as all get out why.......the situation you described.

Reminds me of the Seinfeld episode in which Jerry is aggravated by his recently converted Jewish dentist (Watley?) telling Jewish jokes to his patients and him while in the chair. Jerry goes to the Catholic confessional to talk to a priest about this and the priest asks him "so this offends you as a man of the Jewish faith?" And Jerry replies "NO - it offends me as a comic"

I've asked managers similar things during leagues before in private messages. I don't remember anyone declining to answer. And if they don't answer, that's their right. Couldn't hurt to ask.

Gee, I hope it's not me! Work has been so crazy lately that I haven't been following some of my teams as closely as I'd like to.

I'm sure there is no harm in asking. It's just from a selfish perspective, I'd rather not! So, my question is more am I morally obligated to ask?

PS. No, Falcon, it's not you!
