Still in preseason. Autodraft got me Smalley at SS. Have never played a 3 range SS, but there's dreadfully thin pickings in the FA pool at SS. I've got 1 range fielders at 1B and 2B (Hernandez and Sandberg). Playing in County Stadium (9-8). I'm tempted to just go with it, hoping Smalley's offense is worthy. Anyone have anything nice to say about Mr. Smalley?

i never get his 2 good years, 3 at SS is tough without a big bat

get a .75 "2" fielder at SS.

I almost always prefer 1 or 2 fielding SS or 2B. Nevertheless, I think Smalley can be an exception, especially if there isn't much left in free agency. None of his 5 cards are bad.
