Not that I expect Strat-O-Matic to do anything about it, but I am curious as to what other players think...

Is Mitchell Page deserving of a spot in the 70s game??

https://www.baseball-reference.com/play ... mi02.shtml

He had four seasons between 1977 and 1980 where he played at least 110 games, but after that it was only partial seasons in the early 80s (57 games in 1983, however).

I know that over the years there have been different discussion threads about players who should be in the 70s game, but I didn't recall Mitchell Page ever being mentioned. :?:

Interesting tidbit - Page played the role of the California Angels first baseman, "Abascal," in the 1994 Disney movie Angels in the Outfield.

If I was recommending players to be used in a mystery game to SOM I would not include Page. He really only has 4 viable seasons in terms of number of plate appearances. He has four seasons of 348 or more AB and the next highest season is only 92 AB where he hit .141. Similar situation to Lyman Bostock who also had 4 very viable seasons before his death so he never had a 5th season at all. Bostock's 4 seasons were really good. What a career he would have had.

Absolutely he should have a card.
