How does this team have an 84+ million dollar payroll in an 80 million dollar league? Has anyone ever seen this before?

Yes. It can happen when there aren't enough low-cost players at a certain position during autodraft. However, what I have never seen before is a 23-man roster!

FWIW, the manager will not be able to make any roster moves unless his (first) move gets him under cap.

That's an 80's league in which you can have a 23 man roster.

I am in the league and in the division with the manager's team in question. There has to be a glitch in the system in this case. As many of us know, you can have a team over 80 million after the initial draft, but once a roster move is made, you must get down to 80 million. The strange part about this team is the manager made five waiver transactions and made 24 other transactions prior to the first day of the season. He has not made a move yet during the season and his team has a value of 84.05 million after 51 games.

Something is off.

And just because you can doesn't mean you should. How about some self regulation?

Not sure how he can do that at this point or how he ever had a team more than 4 million over the salary cap after making transactions. He dropped Chet Lemon today, but all that did was bring him down to 83.41 million of which over 5 million is now in cash. Strat needs to do something for the rest of the managers in the league. There was/is an obvious glitch that allowed this to happen.
