In a non DH league when a pitcher gets injured, what is the roll and how can you tell what card he is playing with?

No way to tell in a non DH league.

In a non-DH league. The injury comes from the pitcher's batting card which is the same for each possible year so that is no help. The only thing you can learn is if the injury is for more than 3 games then it comes from a year where the pitcher pitched less than 200 IP. Of course that only helps you if your pitcher had years both over and under 200 IP. If not then a pitcher injury is of no help in determining the card year.
