Okay, who in the mystery leagues always seems to have a bad season, even if their cards would suggest that they don't have any bad years on their cards?

Who always outperforms? Just looking for insights.

Bret Saberhagen always under-performs. Over-performers. Duke SIms in limited use.

He is exactly who came to mind for me even before I saw you mentioned him. I can't figure it out; all his cards are good.

For batters, It's Boggs

Anyone have any Luck with 70's Jim Palmer? not a bad card of his 5 and he seems to ALWAYS underperform for me!

Hard to replicate epic defense (Brooks, Belanger, Grich, Blair, etc.), a home pitchers park, and a mediocre division they often dominated (the lineups he was usually facing were way worse than a normal $80M lineup here).

Boston and NYY were in the AL East with Jim Palmer and I believe they had some nice lineups to go with their World Series appearances in the 70s. I wouldn't say that division was any worse than others.

The 1970's Joe Sambito. He never finishes a season for me. With his numbers I would expect much more than I have ever received.

1960's Al Kaline. He just can't get over the Mendoza line for me. I most likely use him in the wrong park/lineup but, he always disappoints.

Howdy, In the '70s it's J.R. Richard, Bert Blylevin and Nolan Ryan. Among position players, Bobby Grich and Frank White come to mind. Come to think of it, Jim Ray "Guns" of Houston has never had a good card for me..

Here, here! I've NEVER had a decent season from him.

Another guy I've long given up on is 60s Dean Chance. On paper he should be the best SP for the money. I guess we don't play on paper.
