With runners on 2nd and 3rd with two outs, McGwire (injury confirmed at 90 earlier in the season) recorded a foulout vs. Frank Viola. Viola has no foulouts vs. righties on any of his versions, and McGwire 90's only foulout has a $ next to it. Shouldn't that have been a single in this situation? If do, please fix the card.

Foul outs have puzzled me. It seems unlikely to be a problem with the card but some other effect. One definite possibility is a ballpark single/out was described as a foul out.

A catcher could record a foul out on a catchers card-x result, but, I don't know what fielding chart the online game uses, or if it uses its own custom fielding chart.

Also, wikipedia talks about a setting used by the online game, called

I don't know if this "improve out distribution" includes things like changing a popout to a foulout. It's also unclear if this setting has the checkbox set to true for the online game and if it applies to the board game only, the cd game, and/or the online game. Maybe, it applies to the online game and maybe the checkbox should have been set to false, although I'm not sure it matters that much, except to those of us trying to do analysis of foul outs to find out which mystery year has been assigned to a player.

Also, foulouts don't seem to ever appear on pitcher cards.
