I Want Parkman

Although I have admittedly not watched the entire movie, I have watched the ending of Major League II on a few occasions. Rick "Wild Thing" Vaughn intentionally walks a batter in order to face his nemesis Jack Parkman, who has a 0.900 lifetime batting average against him.

I experienced my own version of I Want Parkman in a 70s Mystery game yesterday.

Bottom of the 5th.. Runner on 2nd, two outs (Clutch situation, which I'm sure influenced HAL's thinking.

Larry Milbourne is intentionally walked, in order to face Ken Henderson. KH ended up getting injured on that plate appearance (injury reveal of either '69 or '72 seasons, his two worst UGH!).

My guess is that I've got KH's '72 season, because he has some clutch outs on 4 and 5 in the 3 column. I have to wonder if I have Milbourne's 1978 or 1980 seasons since they both have clutch hits.

Anyway, I can just imagine Bob Uecker exclaiming, "Well he's gonna walk Milbourne to pitch to Hendeerson obviously HAL's thinking -- I don't know WHAT the hell he's thinking."
