Good grief! We're talking about one team. As far as trades go, I can't remember the last time I made a trade despite making some pretty reasonable offers. So, having one less potential trade partner is hardly going to affect anyone's experience.
Also, the fact that a bot mystery team did that well is against the odds. However, I've seen a (human) manager make the playoffs without making a roster change. What's the difference?
Having a bot is a rare occurrence; I've never seen it. Let's not make the proverbial mountain out of an extremely uncommon mole hill.
PS. Isn't this the same Ducky who years ago took over a terrible team between seasons in a keeper league I ran? If you are and I recall correctly, you did pretty well. You've overcome worse adversity than having to deal with having only have 10 fellow managers in a league instead of 11!
