HBP injury

Has anyone heard of a player shrugging off an injury? I had Mike Kingery 1990’s mystery, he was hit by a pitch showed without injury in game 5 of a season. I kept him the whole year thinking I had 94 but at the end of the year it said I had 1996. Mike Kingery was HBP 4 times during the season. 3 vs RHP and 1 v LHP. 3 of the HBPs resulted in an injury, meaning it's 90, 94, or 96. But there is one additional HBP (v RHP) that didn't result in an injury. That can only happen in 94. I was told that he shrugged off the injury and stayed in the game?! Has anyone ever heard of this?

yes, it happens occasionally, especially with batters that have over 680 plate appearances.

I would think that if he was injured it would show up in the replay.
I didn’t know shrugging it off was possible.

Actually, if a hitter has 680+ walks plus at bats in SOM365, he cannot be injured. If he has an injury on such a year, it won't be reported if it's rolled since no injury will occur.

I answered the OP's question in the other thread where he posted it.

I think the 680 W plus AB means that, at most, the player can only be injured for the remainder of the game.

An injury roll results in a possible injury. 1-2 batter stays in game.
