last draft we eventually implemented an 18-hour rule. Will that be a thing again this time?

It doesn't overly matter until the playoffs start and the last few teams are seeded but if we are going to have an 18 (or even 24) hour clock it should be decided early on.

This is a fair question. I'll have to think about it. I'm hoping that Gordie will make a pick and we don't have to put in a clock. It isn't fair that the same player unduly holds up the draft (is it?), but since the two teams in the finals get the last two picks, there really isn't any urgency right now.
On the other hand, I will have to institute a clock if a pick is not made within a day or so.

I agree there’s no urgency right now but sometimes it is nice to have a little momentum so there’s a reason to come back and check the board. If people stop checking than it even slows things down more.

Ok, to keep momentum I'll start a clock, if Gordie doesn't pick by Friday noon (Central Time), then Gordie's turn is skipped. By that time he'll have been up for about 3.5 days which is more than enough time to make a pick. If everyone took that much time, the league wouldn't start until 2022.

It isn't fair. We all have lives and jobs that keep us from making SOM our top priority. But when 1 person can't find time to make one pick, it holds things up for 23 other people. The fact that it's consistently the same person makes me wonder whether that person should reconsider their participation.

I totally agree with goffchile. A big delay just results in everyone becoming disengaged, which leads to more delays, and so on.

To be more direct, Gordie, how important is being in this league to you?
