We’re just wrapping up Round 1 of this league. All 12 owners stayed for all 10 seasons. Very fun league – not for beginners.

See the rules in the thread below: Double Franchise League (60s-2000s) RULES

We’ve got 7 returning owners. Sign up for remaining spots below. If you have questions about the rules, just post here.

Samh signed up in a league email before Piloneus signed up here. But I still need to confirm with the first 11, that they meant to sign up. We could have room for both of you.

If I don't get to it tonight, tomorrow I'll start a new thread for the Inaugural draft and get a randomized draft order.

In the meantime, any questions about the rules?

Thank BC. Looking forward to this league. Just want to confirm; is there a list of eligible players per franchise? I think you had noted someone had created a worksheet with this info? Would make this much less labor intensive in trying to figure out which players are eligible if one already exists. Thanks again

Yes, I'll make the spreadsheet available, once I get things organised for the draft, or sooner.

Before I get the draft order randomized, I want to clarify what teams can be drafted. It's rather convoluted for the 60s, due to the number of teams that moved, or changed names during, before and after the 60s. Here's the 24 draftable teams:

Orioles
Red Sox
Cubs
White Sox
Reds
Indians
Tigers
Astros (Colt 45’s 62-64)
Athletics (Kansas City up to 67, Oakland 68 on)
Royals (69 on)
Dodgers (Brooklyn up to 57, Los Angeles 58 on)
Angels (Los Angeles 61 -64, California 65 on)
Braves (Milwaukee up to 65, Atlanta 66 on)
Expos (69 on)
Mets
Yankees
Phillies
Pirates
Padres (69 on)
Giants (NY up to 57, SF 58 on)
Pilots (69, Milwaukee Brewers 70 on)
Cardinals
Senators (61-71, Texas Rangers 72 on)
Twins (Washington Senators up to 60)

It’s important to keep these nuances in mind when evaluating teams and choosing players. The Washington players are particularly confusing. If they have a Washington card from 1960 or earlier, it belongs to the Twins. A Washington card from 1961 or later belongs to the Senators.
