Strat-O-Matic Baseball 365

Bill Russell 1974 mystery card. No way that card was designed correctly. OBP of .336 with 53 walks in 553 at bats, but, the only way he gets walks is dice roll of 3-9 (lefty) and 1-2 (righty).

I looked at some other cards with similar walk/AB
ratios and they all have significantly greater probability of walks.

I believe intentional walks are ignored when deriving the card while included in the stats shown. I looked it up and he led the NL in intentional walks with 24 or 25 that year. I'm sure he was batting 8th. Bonds has similar issues with his cards - he has a lot of walks on them but not nearly enough to generate his real life stats when intentional walks are included.

Interesting. Thanks. The stated OBP reflects the intentional walks and deceives one into finding the card attractive. So, Strat, if you don't want to include intentional walks into card design, then, at least, give us an adjusted OBP or an intentional walk/non-intentional walk ratio so we can make better roster decisions.

I suppose one could argue that if used correctly he should get the intentional walks needed and there's no reason for Strat to address my annoyance.
