Why do I get this message when starting to drop a player? "You may release this player now, but you will be unable to pick up any players until the Waivers period is over."

One of three possibilities:

1. You never released a player before during the waiver period
2. They recently added the message
3. The message is not new, but you never noticed the message before

As I'm sure you're aware, you can't pick up a player during the waiver period (except via waivers), so nothing has changed in that regard.

Coyote, your post about Jack the catcher is hysterical. The message about waivers literally means a manager can't participate in waivers if he or she drops a player before waivers. Perhaps poorly worded at best?

I never thought about it that way, but you're right. It could be worded better.
