Roster rules:
Hitting centric teams:
The maximum value of any starting or relief pitcher is $3,000,000
The Hitting team must use 3 roster spots for hitters with salaries of $1,000,000 or less. These players cannot be dropped once the season begins—they must remain rostered for the entire season. If an owner has more than 3 players with salaries of $1 million or less, please send a message to the league identifying which 3 players will be kept all season long.
The hitting centric teams must have a collective range score of 8 or more for the following three positions---Center Field, Shortstop and Second Baseman. So, if Ken Griffey is your center fielder, the collective range rating of your second baseman and shortstop must be 7 or more.
For the hitting teams---we will use the honor system to comply with the the range rating for CF/SS/2B rule. There could be in game scenarios where HAL will substitute a player who violates the rule. However, please take all reasonable actions such as setting backups for the 3 key positions who will comply with the rule.
The catchers used by the hitting centric team must have an arm strength of 0 or positive. Therefore, Ivan Rodriguez and Darren Daulton will not be eligible for this league.
Pitching centric teams:
The Pitching team must use 2 roster spots for pitchers with salaries of $1,000,000 or less. These players cannot be dropped once the season begins—they must remain rostered for the entire season. If a team has more than 2 pitchers with a salary of $1,000,000, please send a message to the league advising which pitchers will be kept all season long.
The maximum value of any hitter is $3,500,000.
Draft—stadium and two round player draft:
Stadium: There will be a separate stadium draft for the pitcher and hitter centric teams-the order will be established via a randomizer. After picking your stadium, the owner will indicate if they want to play in the east (hitters only), central (2 teams of hitters, 2 teams of pitchers) or west (pitchers only).
