If I set a Pitcher to 0 does that keep him in the game longer? I cant remember and cant find it anywhere , Thanks,,, just need to know if I set my reliever at 8 he will come out sooner just trying to learn how to use bullpen cause HAL keeps my pitchers from the bullpen in the wrong rolls, guy who is a only righties pitcher stays in and faces lefties and gets killed ? any help??

For most of my pitchers, I don't set a Don't Rel. B4 Fx rating. For my best pitchers who I want to stay in the game longer, I set it to F8. Now setting it to F0 will keep a pitcher in the game even longer for a batter or two. However, I don't want a fatigued pitcher pitching, and once fatigue sets in, it escalates rapidly anyway.

Keep in mind, if you set Don't Rel. B4 anywhere from F0 to F8 (i.e., if you don't leave it blank), your pitcher won't get pulled during an inning unless he becomes fatigued.

thanks, can I ask why you use 8 for your best pitchers? and is it bad to put 0 on closers? Thanks for your help!

I don't want my pitchers, closers included, to pitch while fatigued (thus F8 and not a lower number). Also, I don't want HAL to relieve my best pitchers before they become fatigued--F8 setting does that.

Is it bad to set closers to F0? I suppose it would depend how good the alternative closer is. If he's awful, you're probably right to set it there. However, how much partial fatigue affects performance is a mystery, so it's hard to answer otherwise.

I often use F0 + Slow Hook for my best RP, not SP.. I want him in for 3-4 innings!
