Petition: Let's get rid of the Fanta-sim cards

a list would be extremely beneficial. if anyone know which cards where taken from fantasim i would love to see it. however, i think it might need some proof to back up those claims.

Hackra, could you let everyone know a few of the cards that you're talking about? I was under the impression that Fantasim involved the more outlandish cards like Arky Vaughan. Are there lots of "normal" cards that are also Fantasim?

At any rate, Bernie labelled a few cards as problematic when he introduced them to the set; it shouldn't be hard to go back and replace them.

Many Fantasim cards (as BernieH alluded to when he made requests for new cards on the old system so many months ago) had previously been stolen from the set. Examples I remember include the pricey Boudreau (the one with the catcher rating), A couple of the Hornsby cards, Stan the Man, a couple of Ozzie Smiths, some Tony Lazzeri, Freddy Lindstrom, some of the Mantles, a couple of Tris Speakers, Max Carey, Puckett, pricey Torre, Honus Wagner, Lloyd and Paul Waner (a couple of each), Kiner, Hack Wilson, and many many others (perhaps a couple hundred) and ....lots of pitcher cards too. BernieH MAY have a reference to which ones he swiped, but I do NOT BELIEVE and of them have been replaced with the cadillac cards and many were there and I used them for comparison in 2007 when I started playing Fantasim.

Not sure how you could confirm any of the cards without BernieH and Strat-o-cooperation though.

In regards to what Hackra and others are talking about: You bring up a good point that many of our cards may be "fanta-sim" but the difference is that these other cards don't disrupt the realism of the game like Arky, Mathews, Dickey and Lajoie do. These 4 are on a whole different order of magnitude whereas other cards like Max Carey have little disruptive influence over the game. They should stay. My intention is not to tear apart the game and leave it in shambles but just to SIMPLY remove these 4-super good, underpriced, overpowered, FAKE cards.

The petition is to remove:

1953 Eddie Mathews
1937 Bill DIckey
1901 Nap Lajoie (although I have less resolve on this one, we can further discuss this one)

For those who have the cdrom game with card option should not be difficult to confirm. Either they match what is shipped there or they do not. In my opinion if they do not whether from fantasim or some other bogus source if they are not what ships on cdrom and the most advanced version available they need replacing.

It was my understanding the petition was to change out all the bogus card versions with the real advanced version of the seasons involved.
