Has there ever been a better Kaat season?

Jim Kaat is a very popular pitcher at caps of $100 mil and less and routinely outperforms his card, but has anyone ever seen a better season out of Kaat than the one below at any cap? By the way, the team below was champs in its 2012 Barnstormers Tournament round 3 $100 mil ATG6 DH league and led the league in pitching and finished 4th in runs.

i had a similar season out of him once. i think it was an 80 mil team.

It would be hard to argue that your season isn't the best given the league cap and home park.

Thanks to all who responded. Maxie, those are some pretty impressive Kaat seasons you dug up!

I just finished the season for another Kaat team. This was Barnstormers Round 4, $60 mil no DH. Although he finished just 13-12, Kaat led the league in ERA, besting runner up $7.95 mil Chris Short, 2.99 to 3.20.

By the way, Kaat's team was muddling along at 60-63 and looked to be out of the running for a playoff spot, but went 29-10 over the last 39 games to finish at 89-63 and nab a wild card spot. The team was beset by injuries most of the season, but got healthy at the end and had a nice stretch run to the finish line.

Hopefully, they can sustain it through the playoffs.

This is the best Kaat season I've had since the new website came in. Not bad for a 100M league, though not equal to yours.

I may have some better ones on the old website, but alas they are inaccessible.

Well, I don't think that I'll ever see a better Kaat season than this recently completed season in a $60 mil cap Barnstormers league:

Kaat led the league in wins (while pitching in the number 1 spot in the rotation no less!) and was first in ERA among starting pitchers.

As for the team, not only did it lead the league in wins, but it was one of those rare teams that led the league in runs and ERA!
