should i replace my 3B, and if so who with?

this is by far the most frustrating team i have ever had. even though they have scored 113 more runs than they have allowed they just can't seem to pull away. anyways, e.martinez went down for 8 games last night with less than 50 games to go. he has hit well but his subpar defense has hurt me, and for some reason he never gets pulled for his def replacement when i am leading. if i drop him i will have 4.7 cash to spend on his replacement. what do you think i should do? who should i look to replace him with?

Option #1--one of Jimmy Collins' cards.....1 on defense, speed, clutch

Option #2---Red Smith........I've used him often in pitchers parks as a cheaper option if i missed on Lindstrom or Steinfeldt...... He will hit about .290, but every time I use him, he hits 40 doubles and drives in 100 runs (usually hitting in 5 or 6 hole)

red smith is taken. which of collins cards would you use? why not larry gardner or e.alfonzo or j.gilliam?

looks to me like Roy Thomas is hurting you defensively almost as bad and with less offense especially all those GIDP.

Yeah, that's an option.
Move Sewell to 3rd
Move Thomas to DH
Sign a new LF or RF

roy thomas is fine. he is my leadoff hitter and i switch him from rf to lf depending on the match ups.

i am looking for a 3B that costs 4.7 or less only and not looking to swap out my other players. moving sewell to 3B and removing thomas from the outfield makes my defense worse at 3B not better. suggestions please?

Judy Johnson
Paul Molitor (doesn't help u defensively though)

Like Andy said go with Jimmy Collins.

I have him on a current team where he is doing quite well. And more importantly his defence is helping my team do very well.

When I saw the title, I thought it was from Joe Girardi asking for help with his lineup.
