I was at Disco demolition. A wild doubleheader and the last time a team forfeited a baseball game.
I miss the old park. It had character. It was like watching the game sitting in your living room. You felt like you were at home at old Comskey.

I did a Wrigley/Comisky on Friday and UMich at ND in South Bend the last year of the old Comiskey. It was obvious they'd let the park go without maintenance in a lot of areas, but it was still a good place to see a game, as most of the old parks are.

I'd trade the ferris wheel and merry-go-round of the new Tiger stadium for the sight lines of the old Tiger Stadium. I've heard the same about the new Comiskey, upper deck seats are far enough away that the game is a rumour.

Does anybody recall the placards that were up on the left and right field rooftops at Comiskey sometime in the mid-1970's that recorded a rooftop HR? I am not sure which year those went up and when they came down. I think Ron Kittle hit several rooftop HR's in his time with the Sox. Ruth, Foxx and other sluggers had signs up there, but so did players like backup catcher Tom Egan.
