singleteam League - Apologies

I did not know this was supposed to be a theme league. It was not posted on the MB's or in the title of the league. ex "Singleteam theme league". And it was not set up as a private league.

I would not have joined if I realized that it was a theme league. If anyone wants to take over this team, please let me know on this MB thread.

I am not sure why anyone would set up a theme league with roster restrictions like this without posting on the MB's and setting it up as a private league. It would avoid these types of problems.

I would be surprised if there are not others who did not realize this was supposed to be a theme league. Please make sure to add the word "theme" in any future league names to make your intentions clear.

I have sent an email request to SOM to remove my team from the league and reinstate my credit.

TRW, I joined it also not knowing it was a theme league. I have sent a note to SOM asking them to remove me from the league. I have not received a reply as of yet. I also don't know why this league wasn't PW'ed or why someone would put a theme league in an open availability situation. All I saw was 140M league and I joined. I really don't think an apology is necessary at all. This was the mistake of the league's originator.

Normally even if leagues like this are not password protected, at least the person that creates the league will post some sort of rules. I was watching the league fill and could not tell what franchises were selected so far because the team names did not help at all.

You are correct. I went back to check where I sent the email. I did send the request to the correct email address. Just a typo on the MB's.

Agreed. That's why it didn't dawn on me that this was a theme league. I realized it after hitting the refresh button about 50 times waiting to see what my roster was going to look like.

Same here - no idea it was a team league. I email SOM and told them to pull my team - I'll join another one. I can't figure out how to know what team to draft from - what if 5 guys drafted Red Sox players? Anyway, sorry for my error. Mark

I bet half the owners in the league did not realize the the originating owner intended for this to be a theme league.

SOM needs to put the comment field on the league page and not hide it in the "drill down" screen. Or better yet, create a public section on the League page for theme leagues...

I wanted to join a 140 league and was about to enter when I saw the comment about picking one team. I searched for a related post but couldnt find one. Decided not to join. I can only imagine the mess that has been created if teams were entered outside the theme. No offense to the league organizer intended.

I did see the singleteam but translated it to only one team per manager, since you can have more than one team if the league is set up that way.
