I like Bernie's suggestion about the Bums and Orioles. BTW, does anyone else think the POST Tigers & Cards look weak in comparison to the other combinations?

I would certainly be willing to sub the post-war Dodgers/Orioles; I'll suggest we remove the DB A's and Giants, unless anyone has any objections.

As for stadia, I think we should stick those in use by either team in that era.

I just saw Katzenjammer's thoughts; we could delete that squad instead of the earlier suggestion. As I glanced at it, I agree it might be a little weak.

PRE Giants-Senators might be more competitive than DB Giants-A's, as well.

Just a thought ... maybe have 14 or 15 combinations to choose from -- that way the managers who wind up with the last picks have a better choice and can make their own stronger/weaker judgment.

Excellent idea! So let it be written, so let it be done!

This will officially add the PRE Giants and Senators and POST Dodgers and Orioles to the original list of 12 teams; owners can then select from the listed franchises.

Also, assuming we fill by sometime early tomorrow, can I ask someone to seek a random generator and then establish the draft order list for me? I will be unable to access my teams until tomorrow night. Thanks in advance!

"Here's the concept:

Combine World Series rivals from across the years into a single combined team. $100 million cap, no DH. Players on multiple squads belong to the team owning the player's most expensive card. The exception here is if the most expensive card belongs to a team not involved in the league; then the team owning the next most expensive card has ownership rights."

So....would this be a good example or scenario? The expensive Musial is on the post Cards. So - the pre Cards would only be able to draft pre-Cards Stan if no one chose the post Cards as their team or the post Cards (if in the league) didn't draft him. But would the pre Cards only be able to use the pre Cards Stan card? I would be in favor of that - that a team in a designated era can't draft players from a different era and I'm guessing that was HarryC's intent?

Doesn't Lajoie cross eras also?
There's probably lots more?
