I wanted to throw this out there and get some input.

In the past, we have started the next season at/around the halfway point of the current season.

Would anybody like the idea of waiting till the season is over and have a 2 round draft for the next season based upon our W/L records? These players would NOT be keepers, just some help for the next season. (1 season ONLY) These players drafted could be anybody with a card in the next set. ie. Evan Longoria, Mike Fontenot, Jason Bay, Aubrey Huff etc in 2008.

Naturally they can't be someone's keepers.

I like this idea as it can ensure a bad season will get 1st choice in players for the next set...but it will take much longer to run 5 seasons. 162 + playoffs + 1 week to draft 2 rounds.

What do u guys say? I'd like to keep it as is and since I'm commish I'll have the final say. But if it's 11 votes for a draft and I'm flying solo, we'll go with a 2 round draft.

Viz, I like that idea. Regardless of what Frank says, I say that you do have a purpose on this earth.

Are you proposing to wait until the previous season is completely over.........or perhaps go with the records at the 81 game mark to determine draft position? Running 5 back to back seasons with even short intervals for the 2 player draft will take just about an entire year.

Fuck no, all that does is reward those who didn't plan well for later seasons. If I knew that was coming I would have drafted much more differently than I did.I drafted knowing certain players would be available. A total -1
