I think katzenjammer has a valid question, although I'm reading the rule differently than him. Harry has already said players with cards in two eras must use the card from the era of their team. "If the most expensive card belongs to a team not involved in the league; then the team owning the next most expensive card has ownership rights." While the most expensive card in play determines ownership rights, nowhere have I read that an owner cannot use the most expensive card of a player from the same era if that player is not carded to the team.
How about a clarification, Harry?
