Here is some early info on League Standings for event 1, for games played through September 28. (PC Points standings will be published separately, as events are completed).

Note that the "official" team for each event is the first one entered.

Sorry for the graphics problems on my part. I will try to figure out how to get that to work. The last numeral is the games over .500.

One of the players was commenting on what this chart means, and wondering if the last "column" was really the traditional baseball "Games Behind Leader".

I didn't do it that way, but come to think of it, I think that's a good idea for the preliminary standings, using the traditional GBL. Next time I do the standings, that's what I'll do. I will also figure out how to fix the formatting before I post the standings again next time!

Here are the preliminary, unofficial standings to date, with a few comments:

-filler (or extra, unofficial) teams are excluded. See comments in original post, above.
-Event 1 League 12 is not yet included in the standings, since it just started this week.
-Event 2 is not yet included. This is event 1 only.
-The total on the right hand side is "adjusted wins". Adjusted wins are the actual wins plus 1/2 of the number of games in hand compared to 156 games (which is the total games played by the first Event 1 league, league 1). Fractions (1/2) are rounded up. So basically, for Leagues 2 through 11, it is assumed that these teams will win 1/2 of their games up to and including game 156. In this way, the adjusted wins are theoretically equivalent for all teams in Event 1. I realize that this doesn't completely reward teams who are off to a fast start, since it assumes that they will lose 1/2 of their games through game 156. But it's the best I can do to equalize for differences in games played, without getting a degree in computer science.

The following standings are compiled based on the games through Tuesday November 20. There a few of the bonus points added, based on the teams that made the playoffs in Event 1, leagues 1 through 3, as well as the semi-final series victors for league 1 only. As of Tuesday night, the champion for league 1 had not yet been determined (although it has now - congratulations michaelrobb11 !!!), and the other playoff series results had not yet been determined. Also, games in hand are added at a rate of .5 wins per game in hand. On that basis, here are the standings (preliminary) through November 20:

Congrats to Mr. Met - again! He has continued his winning ways through event 1 (85-47) and event 2 as well (20-7)!!! He is a whopping 51 games over .500!!!

Everyone - remember that the TOP 24 teams advance to the final round! So don't give up yet! There are many baseball games to be played. Keep in mind that many of the points compiled in these standings are games in hand. These results will change as actual games are played. But I had to do it this way in order for the results to be at all comparable, with uneven numbers of games played for each tournament player.

One more note - the above list includes only the players that have entered teams in event 2. Players that have not entered teams in event 2 have been dropped from the standings list. However, there is one last league for event 2 still being filled. If those players join that league, they will be added back into the standings list.

That league wont be open forever obviously. We will fill it with fillers very soon, if the missing event 1 players don't fill it. I have posted the list of missing event 2 players in a separate post on the players championship boards.
