It's great to see that Munich Man is alive and well.

As it appears that the steal round is progressing quite nicely.

Andrew, although I did play the Fantasim Dickey, I do not feel too handicapped by the prospect of losing his Fantasim card. (In the spirit of this league, he will be the same but different....hopefully they will put his injury roll on a 1 instead of a 2). Since you are feeling the majority of the impact of this potential change, what would your preference be on proceeding.

I like Joe's input, but would suggest you propose a remedy that you will be happy with and feel that everyone else would agree upon. Maybe ...
a) a single supplemental pick for a replacement keeper for Mathews ....perhaps pick now,
b) a compensatory additional draft pick ... (if this option, I would suggest you take 2 picks in the first round when your pick comes up so as to provide the best competitive opportunities for those teams with the worst records last season)...
c) one more year of ATG 6 and no compensation as we move forward to ATG 7 in season 28.....
d) outside the box compensation - on a single once in history basis you pick a replacement keeper for Mathews from the entire set of ATG6 including Josh Gibson, Ralph Kiner, Tris Speaker, Dutch Leonard, Mariano Rivera or some other otherwise ineligible letter - with the caveat that you lose any rights to keep Mathews by doing so. ....
e) some other remedy that seems reasonable.

Given my own team's surprising success in the regular season, I'll keep Dickey for next season and wallow in despair over the curse of having been the top seed going into the playoffs. (I can't explain it, but my wildcard teams have had much higher championship rates than any of my division winners)

I am ok with any option he chooses.

I'm just happy to be back playing again, so I'll go along with whatever is decided regarding the Fantasim cards in question. All the options presented have merit.

What was Strat thinking when they threw these ridiculously overpowered cards into the pool?

ATG VI will remain an option after ATG VII is released and will keep the fantasim cards. I expect ATG VII to be out by this time next week.

As to the compensation, I would like to see the new set and then think on it.

One thought would be that once we see the new card and price that there might be someone willing to trade for Mathews a current keeper that would work for Andrew.

Thanks, guys, for all your input. Some very good and fair Ideas. But, I think the easiest thing to do to keep this thing moving forward is just to keep Mathews. Like Doc and Dickey, in the spirit of the league he'll be the same but different. Truth is I would have chosen the old Mathews at the very least in the second round so he still worthy of being a keeper. My initial reaction to losing the Fantasim Mathews was an overreaction. But I'm over it now. So again, thanks for your input.
