Editted for (1)to add clock time, and (2) moved date from Friday No. 30 to Friday Dec 7
on Saturday Dec 1. Then (3) to specify 15 rounds on DD. TRW suggested an even number
of rounds, so its at 16 now (edit 4).

Also - Big Ric (N Texas) suggested getting a jump start on the draft as soon as it fills --
any comments?

I would really appreceate (in addition to signing up for the league) for managers
to chime in on the late Mort and remember him for the class act that he was.

I hope I am not out of line here. I didn't know Mort the best, he was in my very first
strat on-line league (in a division with Petro and myself). Both were supportive of me
as a newbie in a hobby I have now enjoyed for years.

Its meant to be a grass root honor, and I am hoping that other vets who knew him
better could educate me on some of his contributions to strat that should not be
forgotten.

I cannot participate tonight but will put down my thoughts on John sometime. I will try to be available do one or more of these soon, hopefully next week. More later.

What is the clock? If you are doing a fast clock, 2min-5min, I will take a team.

I don't have patience to do one of those long drawn out live drafts where it takes someone 4-6hours to figure out who they want to draft.

We used to do these DD drafts a while back on Thursday/Fridays nights (I think a couple of years ago). After DD, You would load your team into the SOM draft card and then frenzy at midnight.

Mort set up a league called "ALMOST LIVE" when ATG6 was new and
the LIVE draft was temporarily down. The settings reflect what Mort

yes, that was the league, I was refering too. That was a frenzy league. We did those on a regular basis for a couple of months.

fyi - I find if you want to fill a league fast, it helps to put the cap, date/time in the subject heading.

Mort was a great, great man. He was certainly one of the better managers based on pure play. Generous with advice and was always ready to do two drafts in one night! I think about him everyday, coz I miss his messages and friendship, the inbox is not as fun for me anymore.
