I'm rescuing Three Finger Brown and Bill Byrd from the rocking chair.

two things....

1. refresher... is the minimum 4/3 hitter to pitcher or 5/2 if keeping 7 players.

2. can I still change parks as I was thinking of it but forgot?


3. entertaining trade for Mickey Mantle.... may have to wait til after keepers as I will likely want 2-3 players for him.

Novie, the ratio is 4/3 or 4/2 but not 5/2.

You can't change stadiums until you've played 3 seasons in your current stadium. Since we've just rebooted you have 2 more seasons with your present stadium until you can change.

Just got off the phone with Bunze0 he's interested in Mantle and will post a message early tonight when he gets home from work.

send you novie a message in the last league email. I think you could have changed stadiums but because it has'nt been 3 seasons it would cost you a draft pick. The 3 seasons rule is after 3 seasons in the same park the stadium change is free.

Here's section on each question right from the league rules:

iii. The 7 keepers (this includes any stolen players) must adhere to a maximum of no more than 4 position players or pitchers, thus a maximum 4:3 ratio.
iv. If keeping less than 7 players, you must have at least 1 of each type (if keeping 6, the acceptable ratios would be 4:2, 3:3; 5 keepers—4:1, 3:2; 4 keepers—3:1, 2:2).


Section D. Ballparks
1. Unique ballparks
2. Each manager must use the same ballpark for at least three seasons.
3. Relocating
a. A manager may relocate his team to a different ballpark as long as the three-season commitment for the previous ballpark has been met.
b. The manager must announce the new ballpark during the portion of the offseason in which managers announce keepers.
c. The fee for relocating is the forfeiture of the manager’s sixth round pick in the live draft. If the manager does not have a sixth round pick, then the lowest round pick still available is forfeited. In the unlikely event that a manager has no draft picks to forfeit, then the manager loses one keeper slot (only a maximum of six keepers).
4. Any time the league restructures, no manager can relocate to another ballpark until after the third season of the new league creation.
5. New managers, taking over existing teams, have the option to relocate without forfeiture of a draft pick.
a. This “free” ballpark change happens only for the manager’s first season.

A SIMPLER (at least to me) way to understand the ration of keepers -

You can keep a maximum of 4 hitter OR 4 Pitchers...
Ratios of 4:3, 4:2, or even 4:1 would be within the rules.

You could trade a pitcher keeper for a hitter and visa versa after your keepers have been named. (the roster after a trade does not need to stay within the 4:whatever ratio).

Each team may only have 1 preseason trade involving keepers per preseason

Trades and free agent transactions after game 6 of the season are not restricted.
