Any interest in a Keeper league? (League Full) Go to ILC

A keeper league that plays 4 seasons in one card set? Do you keep a certain amount of players after each season played or are you keeping the same players for all 4? I am interested but not sure I would want to play 4 seasons with the same players and then keep some players and move on to the next years cards.

Originally was just planning on two seasons, but there was an earlier suggestion to play more than 2...I'm open to whatever

I think 2 would be enough...but whatever you guys are up for...

Depends if I'm having a good year with the cards.

My question is:
Are you drafting players once to play up to 4 seasons or are you drafting 4 teams up to 4 times in a season while keeping a certain amout of players and drafting the rest?

Would not like to play up to 4 seasons with a bad drafted team. Missing out on your top picks and getting crap in return would make for many long seasons.

Maybe it would be a good idea to co-opt some Leagues' rules. Of course we'd have to excise the Prospect info/rules and maybe add something to it about what edub has in mind for the league.

I am interested in a keeper league w/o prospects in the minor leagues. I don't follow baseball anymore so I wouldn't know a prospect anymore than the Yankees would. 4 seasons with the same team doesn't do much for me though.

I will keep watching the thread and see what you come up with or until it fills. I don't want to jump in right now as there are not any rules set. I would suggest that you do come up with some soon or you might lose some that have already signed up.

I will work on that while watching the game tonight and try to have something either later tonight or tomorrow around lunch.

Original thought was to draft players with a card in current set (or had a card in any previous set...i.e. Wainwright or Lorenzo Cain). Play 2 seasons per year (completing 1 with this year's set prior to release of new set) then hold a FA draft at the beginning of each new set year's cards with unselected players and "new" player's (i.e. Bryce Harper, Yu Darvish, etc..) in a worst to best record format like the NFL for instance.

Hopefully this helps a little and as I mentioned, I will work on getting a constitution together

Lots of stuff to be ironed out.

First, this year. I assume we are drafting, but how many rounds? 25, 30? Unique stadiums?

How many keepers for next year? If we were to play 4 seasons starting next year, it might be interesting to play 2 seasons, then keep a certain number of keepers, say 20 (of the original 30) and throw the rest in for a 10 player draft before the next two seasons. Tons of strategy with this approach (keep someone who is going to be great the following year, but won't help the next now, etc.). Going into the next year, keep 20 or 25 and have a 5 or 10 player free agent draft, then repeat the process. And, place in the draft would be record by the 4 seasons.
Just some thoughts to get things going. Obviously we can't vote on everything, but just trying to get some rules in place.
