sign your name to a franchise Once the new players are added we can start loading.

1. Please make sure your team name uses the franchise listed...nickname can be whatever....makes it easier to see who has which team.

2. Stadium must be from franchise park 1953 or earlier.

3. NEL player that played for a franchise listed is only eligble for that frranchise ...

4. If a NEL Player Willard Brown as an example who played for Browns will be eligible as an NEL player if in fact Browns not selected

Dr Freeze,

Early on in this thread's dialogue, bontomn had said "count me in" but he hadn't signed up for a team at that point.

Think you ought to contact him and see if he wanted the last spot?

Just wanted to confirm Mr. Cub...

He's carded in '57 & '59, but he did play in 1953 for the Cubbies.

So, like Mantle he's good to go right?

That is correct anyone who played in the 53 season or prior is eligible...and you may use any card in the set...57 and 59 are good to go

I was thinking about the NeL cards ... autodraft might be simpler, but don't you think it would be better to do a quick two-round draft that would allow the talent to be distributed evenly? The autodraft leaves so much to luck (esp. because everyone will have their two best choices ranked 1-2 -- it'll truly be a crapshoot, no "ranking" skill required like in a full autodraft.) Someone could make off with, say, Gibson and Charleston and get a really unfair advantage. Whereas if we take a little more time to do a draft, everyone will get a definite chance for at least one prime player to fill a roster hole.

Just a thought ...

OK with me also - two rounds serpentine.
But I didn't understand or follow this excerpt from above

"3. NEL player that played for a franchise listed is only eligble for that frranchise ...
