just change out year and league to get what you need

IF you add 1954, I will take that Cleveland team. (they badly needed RP and in 1954 they added Narleski, Mossi, as well as Larry Doby).

The team will still most likely be bottom feeders (Bill Wambganss is there best starting 2b that I see before 1954....Avila is a poor fielder and Lajoe apparently fails to qualify even though the team was named after him for many years).

I may need some historical corrections, as to players though. Is there a good reference that lists which players made their debut with the AL Cleveland team?


also, how will the NEL draft order be done?
are all of the unused franchise players ineligible?

I'm thinking a roster would look something like :
Trosky 1b
wambsganss 2b
Boudreau ss
Rosen 3b
Trouppe C
Averill or Doby CF
Shoeless Joe RF
?Riggs Stephenson LF

SP Paige, Joss, Covaleski, Gregg, Feller
RP Mossi, Narleski, Eells

but will have to research all these guys origins a tad closer.

Hack...Doby already meets the criteria to play since his career started before 1954...I just wanted to add 54 so the Braves at least get Aaron.

If you take the Indians and 54 is added I will select Braves and we can then do the NEL draft

as a reminder if a player played in the 1953 or 1954 (if approved season) he is eligible to play. You may also use any of the cards that are in ATG even a later year card as I mentioned with Mantle. hope this helps...Sorry for all the changes but trying to make it as fair as possible.

Ruth started in Boston - can the Bost franchise use any of Ruth's cards or just the Bost one?

Yup, I initially forgot Speaker started with the BoSox too. they'll eat up a big chunk of the payroll but i think they'll be worth every penny.

I am for moving the time frame up to 1954 or whatever is decided upon.
